Walking in the Fullness of Grace

There is a word that runs like a golden thread through the entire fabric of Scripture, and that word is grace. From the moment God breathed life into the first man, to the cross of Calvary, to the very seat of mercy where we stand today, grace has been the defining force of our relationship with God. Yet for many believers, grace remains a concept, something we speak of on Sundays but rarely experience in the fullness of its power throughout the week.

What does it truly mean to walk in the fullness of grace? It means more than simply being forgiven. It means living with the conscious awareness that you are sustained, equipped, and empowered by something that has nothing to do with your own ability or merit. The Apostle Paul understood this better than most. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, God told him plainly, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul did not receive this as a consolation prize. He received it as the greatest revelation of his life.

Walking in the fullness of grace means surrendering the need to earn what has already been freely given. It means stepping out of the exhausting cycle of striving, performing, and trying to be enough, and stepping into the rest that God has prepared for those who trust Him. It means showing up to your Monday morning with the same peace you had in Sunday worship, because the grace that met you in that service did not stay behind when you walked out the door.

Grace is not passive. Grace is not permission to live carelessly. Grace is the very power of God working in and through your life to accomplish what you could never accomplish on your own. Titus 2:11-12 tells us that it is grace itself that teaches us to say no to ungodliness and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives. Grace is not the enemy of discipline; grace is the source of it.

At CAC Altar of Grace, our very name is a declaration. We did not choose this name lightly. Every service, every prayer, every gathering is a celebration of the grace that inaugurated this church on October 29, 2017 and the same grace that has sustained us through every season since. We are living proof that grace is not a one-time event. It is a daily reality.

In this message, we explore what it looks like practically to walk under an open heaven of grace, in your relationships, in your finances, in your mental and emotional health, and in your calling. We look at the lives of men and women in Scripture who dared to lean entirely on God’s grace and came out on the other side with testimonies that still echo through eternity.

You were not saved merely to survive. You were saved to walk fully, boldly, and freely in the grace of God.
